Only Robinson Crusoe had everything done by Friday

Ever had one of those monotonous weeks where everyday was just a repeat of the day before? My week consisted of a never-ending sleep-school-revision cycle. But finally, it’s Friday! I broke the blah-boring pattern, ignoring all guilt sprung from neglecting revision, and dragged myself into town for some much needed pick-me-up retail therapy. A quick scurry around Topshop and Warehouse, but now back home, in time, for another new “New Girl” episode and a mug of piping-hot cappucino. Good stuff! xoxo

Laughing Around Your Silly Little Jokes

Friday night, Party Night, right? For me, it’s more Fri-Gay, than Fri-YAY.

With my first exam over (a very stressful Chemistry module retake), I headed to my friend’s house armed with a scrumptious takeaway and several magazines, ready to gabble about my demanding, wearisome week. We ended up drowning our surrows with chocolate chip cookies and a ukelele session; and even though my Friday night is no outrageous, spectacular party night, I still had a marvelous time. Sometimes, all you need is a little help from your friends (and the satisfaction from mastering the four chords that make up an entire ‘Noah and the Whale’ Song – my fingertips deserve a well-earned rest).

Noah and the Whale – Five Years Time

I’ve been somewhat capricious this week with my blog. Though from my less-than-bountiful (but much appreciated!) readership, I hope there was minimal antagonism. Lazy oaf that I am, this week I was genuinely working hard, helping to paint the set for the school musical (I now have new-found respect for painters, “handymen” and other such manual-labourers). All I can say is: THANK GOODNESS IT’S FRIDAY!

A consolation of sorts for a mundane, but carefree, comfortable Friday evening: a dose of online “window-shopping”. My autumn wishlist:
